Business Innovation And Investment (Permanent) Visa Significant Investor Stream

You can apply for this permanent residency visa if you are the holder of a Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) Visa granted under the Significant Investor Stream and have met all the requirements of your provisional visa.

State / Territory Nomination

To apply for this visa, you must first be nominated by a state or territory government, which will generally the state or territory government who nominated you for your provisional business visa.

Eligibility Criteria

The requirements under this stream are that you:

1. must have (at the time of your application) held a provisional business visa in the Significant Investor stream or in the Significant Investor Extension stream;

2. must have been in Australia for least 40 days per year (calculated cumulatively) for the period of time you have held your provisional visa, or your spouse must have been in Australia for at least 180 days per year (calculated cumulatively) on the basis of the period of time you held your provisional visa;

3. or you and your partner combined, must have held complying investments continuously for at least 4 years while holding your provisional business visa;

4. or you and your partner combined, must have operated a qualifying business under the private Australian company in which you have made a direct complying investment (if applicable).
